Olive Oil Laboratory
The Department focuses on the support of high quality laboratory analyzes, as it has one of the three Laboratories of Olive Oil Quality Control of the Institute (Chania, Kalamata, Mytilene). This is an olive oil laboratory accredited by the National Accreditation System (ESYD) according to the requirements of the ELOT EN ISO / IEC 17025 standard (Certificate No. 975) and also recognized by the International Olive Council (IOC) . Having state-of-the-art equipment and executives with high scientific training and experience, olive oil analyzes of high quality and reliability are provided, as well as technical advice related to olive oil, its cultivation and even its consumption. At the same time, the staff supports the research related to the quality and technology of olive oil and produces data that highlight the Greek olive oil.
