Research Interests
Dr.Georgios Tsaniklidis, got a BSc in Science of Plant production (Agricultural University of Athens), a MSc in Vegetable crops and Plant Physiology (Agricultural University of Athens)and gothis Ph.D.in 2013 from the Dpt. of Agricultural Biotechnology of Agricultural University of Athens), in Plant Physiology. In his Ph.D. thesis,he has studied the metabolism of L-Ascorbic acid in tomato fruits during their ripening and during their postharvest life. Moreover, he has worked as an agronomist having more than 10 years of experience as an auditor on quality schemes in agriculture (Organic, GAP etc.) and as a plant protection and nutrition specialist, holding key positions in the agricultural industry. He has been appointed as aJunior Researcher by ELGO Demeter in 2018 and he is currently employed as an Assistant Researcher, head of the Laboratory of Vegetable Crops of IOSVat Heraklion-Crete. He participates in national and European scientific programs. As a research team member, he contributed to 32 published research papers (h-index 8). Finally, he contributed to multiple international scientific journals as a reviewer and currently serves as a Topic Editor in the international scientific journal “Agriculture”.
