Doupis Georgios Dr.
Research Interests
Dr. George Doupis, Ph.D. in Viticulture from the University of Ioannina, is a junior Researcher in HAO-IOSV. Focusing on the adaptation mechanisms developed by grapevine genotypes under the existence of unfavourable soil/climatic conditions and/or plant pathogens, his research interests include: (a) the assessment of the underlying metabolic processes and the regulatory mechanisms in morphological, physiological, biochemical and anatomical level during the exposure of plants in a variety of abiotic and biotic stress factors, (ii) the evaluation of innovative, eco-friendly, irrigation schemes and fertilization techniques taking into consideration the sustainability of the natural resources, as well as, yield optimization
